We have been DIN ISO certified since 2003. This proves that our quality management system meets the requirements of the applicable standard. With the re-certification in February 2024, we have adapted our quality management system to the new DIN ISO 9001:2015 standard. At the same time, we changed the certification company and were successfully certified by TÜV Rheinland.

With another new automatic band saw from the manufacturer AMADA, WIEHLSTAHL has significantly expanded its sawing capacities in the range up to Ø 250mm in November 2022.
With the new AMADA HFA-250W we can meet the customer's request for serial cuts even faster
The compact and robust AMADA HFA-250W cuts all types of material in the dimensional range up to Ø 250mm as well as flat 270 x 250mm fully automatically through preselectable cut-off lengths of 7-470mm and a multiple feed for quantities from 1 to 999.

We say goodbye to our lorry driver Helge Schopbach in his well-deserved retirement. Helge is our "man of the first hour", as he was hired as the first employee by the company founders Willi Dick and Dieter Kranenberg in 1977. After almost 45 years in the WIEHLSTAHL team, he has truly earned his new stage in life. We wish Helge Schopbach all the best and many more years in the best of health.

After a long planning and construction phase, we were finally able to put our 49.88 kWp system into operation. With this size of system, we will probably be able to completely cover our electricity needs from April to September of a year and have made an important contribution to the energy transition with the installation. The system is complemented by a battery storage unit and two charging stations for electric vehicles.

As of now, we have an electric forklift truck from the manufacturer "Jungheinrich". With a lifting capacity of 3 tonnes, the EFG430 model is still manoeuvrable enough to be used indoors. We are replacing a LPG forklift with it and are also focusing on more sustainability in this area. After completion of our planned photovoltaic system, the truck will be charged with self-generated electricity.

The council of Wiehl has been renovating the main road through the Bomig-West industrial estate for some time now. The construction site has now reached the entrance to our company premises. We apologise for the resulting delays in delivery traffic. Waiting times cannot be avoided at the moment due to the traffic lights installed directly at the site.
WIEHLSTAHL is taking the opportunity to renovate the courtyard entrance and is renewing the courtyard entrance gate. The new sliding gate will be one metre wider than the previous one. In connection with the road, which will soon be widened by one metre, particularly long lorries will be able to enter the company premises even more comfortably in future.
While the work directly on our premises will only last until around the end of August 2017, the entire renovation measure is unfortunately scheduled to last until the beginning of 2018. Any detours that may be necessary are signposted.

WIEHLSTAHL commissioned two new automatic band saws from the proven manufacturer AMADA at the beginning of May 2017.
With this replacement investment, two old manual band saws were replaced so that the sawing capacities could be increased disproportionately, especially with regard to serial cuts.
The compact and robust AMADA HFA-250W cuts all types of material in the dimensional range up to Ø 250mm as well as flat 270 x 250mm fully automatically through preselectable cut-off lengths of 7-470mm and a multiple feed for piece numbers from 1-999.
The AMADA HFA-400W additionally convinces with a larger cutting capacity up to Ø 420mm and flat/square up to a maximum of 400x400mm. WIEHLSTAHL now has three saws of this model in daily use.
Both saws are of course equipped with a permanent diagonal cut detection and an automatic zero stop for material start detection.

Our new Mercedes ATEGO 1530L has been on the road since 4 July 2016. The 15-tonne truck with 300 hp is the largest and most powerful truck in the company's history so far. The proven special superstructure from the manufacturer SONNTAG (Lennestadt) is used again. The loading area is equipped with VARIO Safe® rails. The patented load securing system delights drivers and inspectors alike. Furthermore, this truck is also equipped with automatic transmission, differential lock and the currently most environmentally friendly exhaust emission standard EURO6 (with AdBlue).

WIEHLSTAHL now delivers smaller customer orders and express deliveries in the local area even faster and more manoeuvrable. With an unbeatable ratio of payload to total load, our new IVECO Daily safely delivers customer orders of up to 3.4 tonnes with a permissible total weight of 7.2 tonnes.

For the first time in the company's history, WIEHLSTAHL has a vertical bandsaw machine in operation.
The AMADA VM1200, which was purchased second-hand, opens up new, significantly improved sawing possibilities. From now on, blocks, sheets, plates and blanks up to a maximum size of 500 x 1,000 x 2,000mm can be sawn from our own stock.
Our machine park has thus been expanded to seven band saws.

On 23.06.2014, our construction project "yard stabilisation" was successfully completed.
We had our approx. 900 sqm large rear yard, which was previously only covered with a layer of gravel, paved with heavy-duty paving from the manufacturer Berding Beton. The construction work took a total of four weeks and caused some inconvenience for both customers and suppliers during collections and deliveries. We are even more pleased that the project has now been completed.

As part of our "lighting refurbishment" project, we replaced the historical hall lighting in our production halls I and II, which consisted of gas discharge lamps (HQL) with a total output of 13,200kWh, with modern, highly efficient LED luminaires. In the run-up to the project, we took advantage of energy advice and drew up an energy-saving concept. The entire measure is subsidised by the Federal Office of Economics and Export Control (BAFA) with a 30% grant.

WIEHLSTAHL has been certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2000 since 2003. A complete re-audit is due every three years. After successful re-certification, AGM-Zert GmbH has again awarded WIEHLSTAHL the certificate according to the now valid standard DIN EN ISO 9001:2008. The new certificate is valid until April 2015. WIEHLSTAHL has participated in an exemplary project of the municipality of Reichshof for the safety of routes to school. By covering the bus shelters with reflective foils, road users are warned in good time and the risk of accidents for primary school pupils is significantly reduced.

Wiehl is an attractive place to work and live. The industrial policy of the last decades ensures a strong financial starting position, which is also reflected in the non-profit infrastructure. Active youth work in clubs as well as private and public institutions ensures a wide range of activities and contributes to Wiehl's attractiveness.
Nevertheless, there are good reasons to actively shape the future of the town of Wiehl, its businesses and citizens. The general demographic development, the "pull" of the metropolises and the loss of the regional reference of young achievers are just some of the keywords. The idea to establish the "Wiehl Foundation for the Future" arose from this realisation. The foundation is intended to promote and challenge young people in the town of Wiehl. This support creates a strong bond with the town of Wiehl and its companies and helps to prepare Wiehl for the demands of the future.

With the purchase of a plot of land of approx. 1,500 sqm, WIEHLSTAHL has gained planning security for future expansion measures at its proven location in 51674 Wiehl. The fully developed plot of land is directly adjacent to the existing company premises on the south side.

With a big celebration WIEHLSTAHL inaugurated another warehouse in July 2009 after ten months of construction. The mayor Mr. Becker-Blonigen was present and congratulated the management and staff on the expansion of the company at the proven location in Wiehl.
