We offer square steel primarily in the areas of bright steel, engineering steel and tool steel. The following overview shows you a selection of the available materials:

Bright steel:

• 1.0037 (S235JRC+C): unalloyed structural steel for simple applications, for example in mechanical engineering.
• 1.0050 (E295+C): like 1.0037, an unalloyed structural steel for simple applications. However, 1.0050 has a higher tensile strength than 1.0037.
• 1.0503 (C45+C): Carbon containing structural steel for simple applications in vehicle construction and for machine parts. Only conditionally weldable.

Quality steel:

• 1.7131 (16MnCr5): Cold work or case hardening steel for use in machine parts, gear shafts, bolts or other components. Exhibits good machinability.
• 1.7225 (42CrMo4+QT): versatile quenched and tempered steel for use in mechanical engineering, for axles, pinions, gears and other parts. High strength and toughness.

Tool steel (selection):

• 1.1730 (C45W3): Frequently used, for example, as a build-up material for plastic and punching standards. Versatile, has very good machinability.
• 1.2162 (21MnCr5): Case-hardening steel for machine parts, tools for plastics processing or moulds of all types and sizes. Very good machinability, good erodibility.
• 1.2311 (40CrMnMo7+QT): Quenched and tempered cold work and plastic mould steel. Is rarely heat treated, good polishability and etchability.
• 1.2379 (X155CrVMo12-1): Low-wear, tough cold-work steel for e.g., cutting and punching tools, rollers, drawing and bending tools.
